SHAWN MARTIN
Licenses - USSF A License, NSCAA Advanced National Diploma, NSCAA Youth Certificate, CPR/First Aid Certified

Shawn Martin is currently the General Manager of Dynamo Soccer Club, Manager of CSP Sportsplex and coaches travel soccer. He is a co-owner and operator of Commonwealth Soccer Programs.

Shawn has held positions with Midlothian Youth Soccer League, the Richmond Kickers, The Richmond Strikers and with Williamsburg Soccer Club as a Travel Coach, a Trainer, and a Technical Director. He has also served as a Director and senior staff member for Soccer Academy, Inc. and on State and Regional ODP. While with the Richmond Strikers he was awarded as the Girls Coach of the Year. As a High School Coach, he was also awarded the Dominion District and Regional Coach of the Year with his girls teams.

Shawn is the former Director of Girls’ Soccer with Williamsburg Soccer Club. In addition to those duties, he served as the Women’s Asst. Soccer Coach with CNU taking on goalkeepers as well. Prior to that, he was the NC Wesleyan College Men’s Asst. Coach.

While playing at NC Wesleyan College, Shawn earned his B.S. in Physical Education. Shawn is married and has two awesome dogs; Champ and Nani.

PATRICK HUGHES
Licenses- USSF B License, USSF Nat’l Youth License, Certified Referee Assignor, First Aid Certified

Patrick Hughes currently acts as Assistant Manager of CSP Sportsplex and coaches travel soccer for Dynamo Soccer Club.

Patrick has most recently been the Director of the Advanced Training Program for Dynamo Soccer Club. He has previous club management experience with Piedmont Youth Soccer League in Martinsville, VA where he helped manage the PYSL Recreation Program. In addition to management responsibilities, Patrick also coached for PYSL’s ATP program.

While playing at Averett University, Patrick was a three year starter and senior captain while earning a B.S. in Sports Management.

CHRISTINE SCHWARTZ

Licenses- USSF E License

Christine Schwartz currently acts as the Director of Recreation for Dynamo Soccer Club.

Christine worked previously with Dynamo Soccer Club and Commonwealth Soccer Programs as an intern in the summer of 2011. During her time as an intern, Christine worked on marketing and tournament management, while impressing with her work ethic, drive and personality. Christine was hired to work permanently for Dynamo in the Fall of 2011.

Christine attended the University of Richmond where she graduated with a Communication Studies degree.

JOSH ADDISON

Licenses- USSF C License, NSCAA Advanced National Diploma, NSCAA Goalkeeping Level 2 Diploma

Josh Addison currently acts as Camp Director for Commonwealth Soccer Programs.

Josh has previous coaching experience with the Richmond Kickers and the Richmond Strikers. Prior to his work with both Richmond organizations, he acted as Director of Coaching and Vice President for Welsh Dragon Soccer, Inc. located in South Hill, VA. Josh also spent time working with North Carolina Wesleyans’ camp programs as an instructor.

As a player Josh attend North Carolina Wesleyan University where he was a two time All-Conference selection and a two year Captain. He spent time after college training with professional teams in both England and the United States, before playing professionally for the Northern Virginia Royals.

Josh currently coaches travel soccer for Dynamo Soccer Club in addition to his duties as Camp Director.

Brian Byrd

Licenses- USSF E License, USSF F License, Grade 7 Referee Certification, First Aid Certified

Brian Byrd currently acts as Operations Assistant for Commonwealth Soccer Programs, and coaches within Dynamo Soccer Club’s Advanced Training Program. He is also a Grade 7 Referee and works more than 12 tournaments a year as an official, throughout the East Coast.

Brian played two years of collegiate soccer at Ferrum College and played Travel Soccer for Piedmont Youth Soccer League in Martinsville, VA.

Brian is currently working towards a Bachelor of Arts in Recreation Leadership with a minor in Outdoor Recreation Management.
